I am writing to thank you for the good work you are doing in management and leadership for Doheny Plaza. In the last several months, there has been a noticeable improvement in the quality of service being provided by the building staff. Starting with Laura and Jesus—but including everyone on the staff—the friendly attitude and “can-do” attitude are refreshing and welcome. It may be trite to say it, but, in my view, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at times make it feel as if the staff are caring family members for the residents. This experience is a dramatic change for the building situation not long ago.
I know from my professional work that in a public-facing, service-oriented, business such as Doheny Plaza, it is challenging to attract and maintain good staff who are well-trained and who provide high quality and friendly service on a regular basis. Moreover, I know from service on the HOA Board that much of what you do goes unseen and under-appreciated—and is essentially thankless. Some residents are quick to point out problems and issues, but seldom offer their appreciation for the good work being done on a daily basis. I also know how much time and effort your service on the Board requires.
So, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the work you are doing that is paying off for the residents. I appreciate all that you do, and I am confident many other residents do as well.
Thank you and take care.
